LIFE-U - NEW Session - "Foundations of Faith" - Continues each Wednesday 7 pm for 8 weeks (Jan. 6 - Feb. 24)

For this session we will be using the Study Book - "Getting a Grip on the Basics" which you can purchase at the Church for $5.50.

PLEASE COMPLETE CHAPTERS 3 & 4 PRIOR TO CLASS

(Attendance in this course will be required for all those that desire to volunteer at Lifeway Church. It is a must that we all be on the "same page" spiritually as we move forward in growth!)

Helps Ministry Meeting - This Sat. 5PM

We will have a Helps Ministry meeting this Saturday afternoon at 5pm (after 4pm prayer). This meeting will be for those that are involved in the Usher / Greeter Teams, Media Team, and Children's Ministry.

You are important to the growth of Lifeway and we need you! Thank you for attending and for all that you do for the Lord here at Lifeway Church.

NEXT FRIDAY - JANUARY 22nd (6:30pm - 10:30 pm) there will be a meeting of Youth and Young Adults at the Rhodes home. (412 Shoshone Ct. Auburn, GA 30011)

2009 Contributions

Thank you for your faithful giving in 2009! We will have an update during the service on January 31st regarding the finances of Lifeway Church. God is blessing our obedience to His Word!

You will be receiving a receipt of your yearly giving in amounts over $100 no later than January 31, 2010

Word Supply Project Update

Purpose: "Provide a CD copy at the end of the service to everyone that wants one FREE of charge!" (as well as anyone that contacts us wanting one...FREE)

Price: $590 for Duplicator (will duplicate 7 copies at a time in 4 minutes CLICK HERE for details)

Currently: $545 has been given to date! ($45 left!)

Pray and believe with us that the need will be met. There is a SOW A SEED Box on the Word Supply shelf in the back of the Sanctuary that you can put your seed in or you can send an offering designated to "Word Supply CD Project" or write "CD Project" on your offering envelope. Thank you for believing with us!

SAVE the DATE Ladies!

Lifeway Ladies Night this month will be a special time. We will meet at the JD Withers Building at 6:30 pm on the 29th of January.

There will be inspiring special testimony from Linda Blechinger that you will not want to miss! Bring a friend or two and come expecting to receive.

Why Desire Spiritual Gifts?

Challenge yourself! Reach, stretch and press forward.

"Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts..." – 1 Corinthians 14:1 NIV

Because the Word of God tell us to. Simple enough.

The spiritual gifts that this passage refers to are gifts from the Holy Spirit that empowers us to minister as Jesus ministered when He walked the face of the earth! We are called to do what He did when He was here. He walked in a supernatural power because He was filled with the Holy Spirit! (As was His disciples in the Book of Acts.)

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is the door to the supernatural gifts manifesting in our individual lives. Give some serious study to the Book of Acts and you will see the Body of Christ beginning in power and demonstration of the spirit. As you study you will begin to sense the most obvious question that all of us should be asking ourselves..."Why are we not experiencing these same manifestations in every one of our lives and churches?" The answer is, "WE CAN...but we must begin to desire spiritual gifts and the things of the spirit more than natural things!" We must begin to give ourselves to prayer, again... (as the church has done in every revival since the Book of Acts)

God's power has not waned or grown faint...our prayer lives have not been where they should be and we have not hungered to see a manifestation of His power as they did in Acts.

We need the power of God and the gifts of the spirit in operation to minister help, hope and healing to this generation! Let's begin to desire more than ever before. He is ready, are we?

• Pray for all the churches in Auburn, Carl, Winder, Dacula that they would experience a supernatural spiritual hunger like never before.
  
  
• Pray for our Troops and their families.
  
  
• Pray for missionaries everywhere that they would experience the provision of God to continue to preach and teach the gospel. And that God would continue to protect those who are in dangerous situations.
  


• Youth Ministry and Children's Ministry, growth and direction


• Barrow and Gwinnett County businesses would prosper
