The Word of God was made flesh so that Jesus could accomplish the will of His Father. The Word of God must become flesh (real) to us before we can do it and accomplish the will of God.

PRAY IN 2010!

Join us on New Years Eve for a great time of fellowship, food and praying in the New Year.

We will begin at 8 pm and finish just after midnight as we pray in the New Year. (Please bring finger foods)

This will be a special time for us individually and as a church body as the Lord has some encouraging things to share to challenge us. Please make plans to attend.

LIFE-U - NEW Session - "Foundations of Faith" - Each Wednesday 7 pm for 8 weeks

JANUARY 6th we will begin a new session entitled - "Foundations of Faith". For this session we will be using the Study Book - "Getting a Grip on the Basics" which you can purchase at the Church for $5.

Attendance in this course will be required for all those that desire to volunteer at Lifeway Church. It is a must that we all be on the "same page" spiritually as we move forward in growth!

OPERATION: Christmas Blessing 09!

THANK YOU for being a part of blessing some of our community this year! We took boxes of food to 10 families and prayed with them. We took baskets of goodies to those in our community; neighboring businesses, Fire Department, Police Department, City Hall, etc.

We are already looking forward to next year's OPERATION: Christmas Blessing 2010! (as well as other opportunities along the way in the coming year)

The Word MUST Become Flesh

Just as Jesus, who existed with the Father, had to be brought into natural existence in order to fulfill the will of the Father, God’s Word must become "flesh" (or real) in our lives in order for us to fulfill the will of the Father.

The power of the Word of God is in the doing! This is why the book of James explains so clearly that we must not just be hearers of the Word but doers as well!

Hearing the Word and recognizing that it comes from our Father God is part of the process of the Word becoming flesh to us. The second part to the process is that we must acknowledge the Word as supreme authority in our lives and "line our lives up" with it. Get rid of any stinking thinking and believe only what the Word of God says, period! It must have the final say in our life. We must consult it before anything or anyone else. It is absolutely our manual for absolute success.

Then we must act on what we know is true and believe with our heart. Mary acted on the Word when she SAID, "be it done unto me according to your Word." We will receive the promise of God when we are obedient to His instruction. He will always give us something to do. And what He shows us to do, we can do! He will never ask you to do something that you are unable to do. Doing the Word of God actually brings it into the "flesh" or the natural realm. The power is in the doing.

Thank God that Mary was obedient, as was Joseph, as were the Shepherds, as were the Wise Kings! Obedience is the key for the Word becoming flesh in our lives.

Have a very merry Christmas that glorifys our Savior! Read the account of the birth of Jesus many times in the next couple of days and receive a fresh revelation of who Jesus is! The Word became flesh!

• Pray for our Troops and their families.
  
  
• Pray for missionaries everywhere that they would experience the provision of God to continue to preach and teach the gospel. And that God would continue to protect those who are in dangerous situations.
