Determine to be determined

The miracle, or the power, that elevates the few is to be found in their industry, application, and perseverance under the prompting of a brave, determined spirit.
Mark Twain (1835 – 1910)

Our daily blog is subtitled “Set your mind” because I believe that half of the problems that people face today are not because they don’t know what to do but rather they are not determining to do what they must do to win.

Setting your mind is making a decision, determining to be determined, strengthening your will and boldly declaring, “I can and I will!”.

We can also say the opposite, not setting your mind is to be indecisive, weak and destined to fail.

You can be the most determined person that you know. The first step towards that goal is to determine, make up your mind, settle it once and for all that you have what it takes to make a decision and get the job done.

You control you. In reality no one can make you do anything.

Set your mind, be determined!

MORE

To have more than you have you must realize that there is more available.

Today there is more for you in every area of your life.

It is time to dream bigger, study harder, pray more fervently and believe the best about people.

You must stretch yourself, or you will remain the same.

We can live content but not satisfied. There is a godly dissatisfaction.

In Philippians chapter 3 Paul said that he purposed to know Christ even after he had been a disciple of Christ for years. It wasn’t that he didn’t know Jesus It was that he wanted to Know him more. He wasn’t satisfied with yesterday’s experience.

Realize that there is more and begin today to ask God to show you more.

Never lose the desire for more!

What are you thinking?

Today we are going to get a check-up from the neck up.

We must have one if we are to get rid of our stinking thinking. Change is our daily goal. If we change the way that we think, we can change our actions.

Thoughts originate basically from two areas: outwardly and inwardly.

Thoughts that come to us from the outside come from the world around us and our enemy (which is the devil).

Thoughts that come to us from the inside come from the Holy Spirit which lives inside us or our own mind. (Our minds can be either renewed by the word of God or unrenewed and “carnal”…fleshly and selfish)

The word of God tells us that we should capture each thought and measure it against Philippians 4:8…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable
