Why change?

In my opinion one of the greatest hindrances to us experiencing God’s best for our lives is complacency. You’ve heard it before, the “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mindset.

There is always a better way. We should be striving for it everyday.

Living life with a fresh and open mind and will is so powerful. When we wake up each morning and declare to the Lord, “Here I am this morning Lord, searching for your will in all that I do…change me in anyway way necessary. Show me those things that I haven’t seen, Speak to me those things that I haven’t heard and teach me those things that I haven’t learned.” we are wide open for the Lord to have His will and way in our lives.

Change is so important in our lives because it creates room to grow. And when we grow we increase our ability to impact and influence others.

Paul the apostle writes, Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Rejoice. Change your ways. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you. - 2 Corinthians 13:11 (New Living Translation)

Change is normal for us. It is difficult and constant. Lasting change only occurs by the spirit of God.

When we are born again our spirit is changed…in an instant! Once and for all! BUT we begin to experience many changes in our soul (mind, will and emotions).

Let’s change more today than we did yesterday!….how about it?
