We should have a built in setting like our computers have that would automatically update us each day with the daily dose of God’s word.

This morning as I booted up my PC, Microsoft informed me that there were some updates that were waiting to be installed. Wow, what a deal!

Due to the onslaught of viruses, adware, spyware, keyloggers, malware and the like, it has become necessary to update our systems to try and at least stay current against the attacks that come against our computers each time we connect them to the internet and communicate with the “cyber-world”.

Our lives are the same…we wake up each morning with fresh attacks from the enemy awaiting us and the pressures of this life to deal with.

The question is, are we updating our internal systems each day to deal with the attacks of the enemy and the pressures of the world? Have we downloaded our new file from heaven that will inoculate us against the latest threat?

Do we know what God’s word says and how to apply it in every situation that we will face today?
