Whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God above, who created all heaven’s lights. Unlike them, He never changes or casts shifting shadows.
God doesn’t bless one day and curse the next.
Sure there were times recorded in the Bible where a curse came upon people, but that was never the will of God. There was a reason or cause for the curse but it wasn’t God.
The will of God is revealed in Jeremiah 29:11 where it clearly says that God wants to give everyone a hope and a future. He is no respecter of persons…He doesn’t play favorites. He wants everyone to be fulfilled and live a blessed and productive life…forever!
We choose death or life, the blessing or the curse. If we choose to live life according to God’s design, we are blessed. If we choose not to live according to God’s design we open ourselves up to the curse that is on the earth because of sin.
Sin came on the earth as a result of Adam’s sin and we are living on a less than perfect earth at the moment. Disease, famine, earthquakes and destructive weather are a part of the earth being under the curse of sin.
The day will come that God refashions, remakes or remodels the earth to a state that is better than He originally created it.
God is good…all the time…and He is blessing today!
