Faith for today

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. – Hebrews 11:1

A doubter says, "I’ll believe it when I see it!"

We "believers" must say, "I believe it – period!"

Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." – John 20:29

Seeing or not seeing has nothing to do with believing.

Faith is a thing of the heart and not the head or eyes.

You believe with your heart before you can confess with your mouth.

Begin right now to be the best "believer" that you have ever known!

You will never have today again

Never before have we had so little time in which to do so much. – Theodore Roosevelt

As the south Floridians realize today (as they prepare for yet another hurricane – Wilma)…time is of the essence.

I have resolved that my TODO list will never be finished. There is too much to do.

We must do all we can today not because "tomorrow may never come", BUT people need what you have. They are waiting for you.

You are valuable and important. Created on purpose with a purpose. To be a blessing and answer to someone’s prayer.

Set your mind to do more than you thought you could do, TODAY!

May God give you the strength and supernatural ability to do more.

Formula for success…guaranteed!

Plain and simple.

No conventions to attend and no fees to pay.

The life of Jesus was and is a success. Look at what He said.

Jesus replied, "I assure you, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does." – John 5:19

"…For I say only what I have heard from the one who sent me, and he is true." – John 8:26

Doing and saying what the Father would do and say 24/7/365. Jesus did it and because the same Holy Spirit lives in us we can do it also.

Apparently Jesus remained in such close contact with His Father that He was able to see what the Father was doing and saying all the time.

Let’s be imitators of Jesus and have good success!

Your ‘tude

Here is a heavyweight quote from a heavyweight Pastor. What insight!

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company …a church …a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past …we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.

We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude …I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you …we are in charge of our attitudes."

-Charles Swindoll

What can be or needs to be said after that?!

The joy set before you

Why do you do what you?

In our daily quest to follow the Master, we do what He would do in each situation. (WWJD –> Doing What Jesus Does)

We can be imitators of Christ, but why?

Why did Jesus do what He did? Because of the joy that was set before Him.

The joy of knowing that in the end you will hear your Heavenly Father say, "WELL DONE! Faithful servant."

Knowing that we are pleasing God produces a supernatural (more than natural) joy within us that will cause us to move forward and do more!

There is BOTH immediate and future joy in obedience.

Can you hear the Father saying, "well done."?
