My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. – Proverbs 4:10
The requirement for a long, good life is listening to the Word and doing it.
There is great benefit from doing
A great mentor of mine taught me that "writing causes thinking." - Bob Proctor
When you write you must think. You must formulate your thoughts and express them. Writing is exercise for your mind.
I believe that when we as christians begin to write, the Lord can begin to speak to us.
This is the reason that I encourage people to take a note pad and pen into their prayer time.
Be ready to hear. Be ready to record what the Lord is telling you. (Then be quick to do it.)
Writing stimulates. Begin to write more.
How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives. – Annie Dillard
Plan your work and work your plan.
Set out to accomplish something great in 2008. Get a vision, write it down and make it plain.
Set short term and long term goals. Review them daily.
Make the most of your time, prioritize: God, family, church.
New year, new grace and re-newed strength. Go for it.
Matt 6:26-27 Look at the birds. They don’t need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are. Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not. Worry… Is it a part of stress or is stress a part of worry? Or are they one in the same? No matter, it is consuming this generation and will consume you if you let it. We need to slow down and look at the birds! I have begun to watch the birds as I have grown older. And it goes without saying that the older I get the more that I watch the birds and wonder why I didn’t start when I was younger. In all my birdwatching I have never seen a bird sweating or wringing it’s little feet with worry wondering where the next meal was going to come from. They just sing…carefree! Next time you see a bird, pause for a moment and enjoy how carefree they are and thank God that you are worth way more to Him than a millon birds! Don’t worry, be happy!
Proverbs 2:2 – Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.
There is a station playing on the airwaves and it is on 24/7/365. It is called the WISDOM CHANNEL.
But…we have to tune in our ears.
We have to make the effort to grab the tuning knob and find the place on the dial where wisdom is flowing!
The wisdom of God will not just drop on you because you believe that Jesus is the Son of God. We must give attention to it, search for it, harvest it and walk according to it.
Ask God for wisdom, expect to receive it and spend time daily in His Word so that you can receive it.
Go for it, get it and it will cause increase in your life! WISDOM!
