A Word from the Lord

Do you need a word from the Lord?

Here’s a great one…

Joshua 1:8&9 – Study this Book of the Law continually. Meditate on it day and night so you may be sure to obey all that is written in it. Only then will you succeed. I command you – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

This will carry you from 2008 to 2009 in good shape! (one of my favorites)

You could meditate on this for a full week, no doubt.

This shows us how to succeed and answers the question…”Why don’t certain people succeed?”

What a word! Just what we need and just when we need it.

Let’s take it and do it.

Joy to the World

It is not a time to be singing the blues and saying “oh no, what am I going to do?”.

Joy to the world! Jesus was born and is still alive.

And He is on the throne!

Those of us who are born again have Jesus living in our heart. He is our hope and reason to live!

He brings the fruit of the spirit, which is JOY!

It is way deeper then happiness and produces a strength in us to take on the toughest situations of life.

Be filled with joy this year, this season. Know that God is for you!

He sent Jesus and great joy is the result.

The Word became flesh

When God speaks a word to you He intends for that word to become reality in the natural realm.

Spiritual realm (world), natural realm (world)

The words that God speaks are spirit…but these words that He speaks to us (from His Word)…when believed and acted upon (obeyed) result in the will of God being fulfilled in our life.

John 1 says that Jesus is the Word and the Word became flesh.

God spoke to Mary through the Archangel Gabriel and told her she was going to have a baby boy named Jesus.

She agreed and said, “Let it happen to me just as you have said.” She conceived the word and it became reality. Jesus was born.

Believe God and begin to say what He says.

The Giver and A Giver

“God so loved that He gave.” John 3:16 is most probably the most well known verse of scripture in the world and of all time.

God gave His Son, Jesus.

This is Christmas…the gift of His Son.

When we give we are only A giver…He remains THE Giver. Our giving is just a reflection of His ultimate Gift.

Love must be the motivation of giving for it to qualify as true giving.

We love Him because He first loved us and we are only able to give because He gave first.

Be an imitator of God and give from the heart, nothing attached, and experience the love of God.

We are an extention of Him when we give like Him.

Camping out at church

What if people began to camp out in front of the church before it opened like they do in front of the toy store or electronic store when the newest game is released to the public?

The day after Thanksgiving (black Friday) has turned into a contest to see which store can offer the biggest sale at the earliest hour. (I think some stores opened at 4:30 am this year…) Shopping mania.

We need revival mania. Where people develop such a superntural hunger for the Word of God that nothing can stop them from doing whatever it takes to soak it into their heart.

1 Peter 2:2 (nlt) You must crave pure spiritual milk so that you can grow into the fullness of your salvation. Cry out for this nourishment as a baby cries for milk,

When a baby is hungry they do not care who hears them cry until they get the norishment that they need.

Let’s get hungry.
