Tuning in to W-O-R-D

There is a station that has been broadcasting since before the beginning of time.

It’s WORD! The WORD of God.

He is speaking 24/7/365. It is our job to tune in.

Tuning in to God is going before His Word daily.

Most of us eat at least 3 meals daily but then try to live spiritually speaking on one cold snack a week.

Jesus said, “man cannot live on bread alone.” To experience the life that Jesus came to provide for us we must give attention to the words from the Living Word! – (Joshua 1:8)

Make the commitment to tune your receiver in to WORD today. Listen closely, pay attention and obey.

Never be Shaken

Psalm 62:2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.

The whole world can be shaking and quaking around us BUT because He is our Rock, Salvation and Fortress we will never be shaken! (Those who put their trust in Him)

Do you think that God knew way back in the beginning of time what would be going on in 2008?

Nothing surprises Him. He is the Rock and Fortress!

The most awesome thing is that WE ARE IN HIM!

Psalm 46:1-3  God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling.

We will not fear or be shaken! No never!

More Blessed to Give

In Acts 20:35 Paul says that Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive”. There are a number of reasons for this (as we can see from the Word)…

1. Giving is planting seed for your future. (because you will reap what you sow)

2. To give freely from the heart is acting like God. (being imitators of God as dear children)

3. Finances are coming back to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over.

The Lord knew that giving was the trigger for bigger things in your life. This is what we are to focus on…GIVING. Live to give.

As you give you are making room for more. So you can receive…so you can give.

But giving always proceeds receiving. Let’s give this Christmas season and always.

Faith speaks

Mark 11:23 – …whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

When you have faith in God you will say. Faith brings confidence and boldness. When you are bold and confident you will say what you believe unashamedly!

You can not be quiet and full of faith at the same time. Faith has a voice.

Jesus told us to say to the mountain or obstacles in our lives. He must know that we have what it takes to move a mountain if He told us to use our faith and tell the mountain to move.

We have it in us, we must let it out! Speak faith, speak God’s word.

Looking for love?

Everyone wants to be loved.

God built that desire into us. To be valued, needed and appreciated is a basic human need.

We need to be needed. But in this quest for getting our needs met we forget that there is a principle of God at work.

The law of sowing and reaping. (You get back what you give.)

If you are sincerely looking for love, you need to begin giving love.

This is why the Word of God says that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Instead of looking for love (and focusing on what we need and should be getting from others), we need to look for ways to give love.

Find someone to give to. Ask the Lord to show you someone that is in need (maybe just a bag of groceries) and then be available to give.
