If…

You will recieve His Word…

Proverb 2:1-5  My son, IF you will receive my words and treasure up my commandments within you, Making your ear attentive to skillful and godly wisdom and inclining and directing your heart and mind to understanding [applying all your powers to the quest for it]; Yes, IF you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, IF you seek [Wisdom] as for silver and search for skillful and godly Wisdom as for hidden treasures, Then you will understand the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of [our omniscient] God.

Just look at what the word of God will do in your life IF you receive them, treasure them make your ear attentive to them, seek wisdom, etc.

These great promises of God come with a condition. …IF

We are responsible, we have a part to play. God has done His part by providing His wisdom to us…we have to do our part by receiving it and putting into practice in our 24/7/365 lives.

The benefits are totally supernatural!

Aflame

Rom 12:11-12 Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder.

Keep yourself (meaning WE have the responsibility)…

It is up to us to “stir ourselves up”. The honest truth is that if we are down then it’s our own fault.

Maybe we don’t like to hear that, but it is true none the less.

For born again Christians to be down in the dumps means that we haven’t been in the Word and prayer. period.

Paul and Silas had a chance to be down….in the prison at midnight…just for serving the Lord and being obedient to Him.

What did they do? They had enough sense about themselves to not blame God or their enemies and raise their head and voice to praise God!

Worship is the highest form of prayer! Begin to worship and His presence will lift you up and fill you with HOPE!

Keep yourself fueled and AFLAME! Set your spirit on fire! Go for it!

Real Relationships

We have perfected the ability to be fake and false in our relationships.

This began in the garden of Eden with Adam and God. After Adam ate of the fruit from the wrong tree.

God knew what had happened and confronted Adam in hope that Adam would admit to the wrong doing. Instead Adam blamed his wife and God when he said, “the woman that you gave me, she gave me to eat.”

We need real relationships today, a revival of truth.

Relationships that are based on truth out last the test of every challenge and time. I believe that God is wanting us to examine our relationships in order to take inventory of the things that we need to change.

Let’s get real, with ourselves, with God and with each other. Experience the freedom that only the truth can bring.

Preparation time

Preparation time is never wasted time.

Luke 14:28  For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it

Counting the cost, planning and preparing are necessary to doing the job right.

The pressure to produce will try to outweight preparation every time.

While in Bible School we saw many first students that would get so excited that they didn’t come back the next year or graduate because they were convinced that they had to “get busy” for God. Sad to say but there a lot of those that have ended up out of the ministry and not serving God today.

Look at Joesph, Moses, David, Paul and many others in the Bible to see that there is always a preparation time.

God was not in a hurry during creation but created everything in the right day and was not pressured into creating everything all in the same moment. Patience during preparation goes a long way.

Prepare well because God has great things for you just ahead!

Day and Night?

Joshua 1:8 – And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed. [The Message]

How do you learn?…by repetition, right?

How much repetition is enough? Until you know it well enough that it changes your thinking and doing. IT is the Word of God!

We don’t memorize the Word in order to impress everyone with the knowledge that we can quote off the top of our head. We meditate the Word in order to put it into practice so that we can experience success.

God has given us His wisdom in His Word so that we can put it in our hearts and lives…it produces success. We have to get into it and let it get into us – DAY AND NIGHT…READ THE WORD
