Faith That Gets Results

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.  – Romans 4:19-21 NKJV

Unbelief will keep you far from the promises of God. Doubt, fear and unbelief all run together on the road to nowhere.

In order to be strong in faith you must begin to give glory to God before you see the promise. Abraham could have considered his body but he chose to consider the faithfulness of God more than his body.

It is all in what you consider. Who is your faith in? What are you considering?

What is the biggest thing in your life? the problem, or the promise and the One who made the promise.

God is faithful to perform all that He has promised us in His Word. Let’s consider Him and be strong in faith giving glory to Him! It brings Him glory when we trust Him and consider Him faithful.

The Word of God becomes a Word from God

Everyone that does something great for God always hears the voice of God. Just study it out for yourself.

You can hear the voice of God…Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. -Jeremiah 33:3 – KJV” God invites us to ask Him to speak to us.

We are extremely big on “getting into the Word of God” and “letting the Word get into you”…but we have to let the Word of God become a word from God himself to us personally before there is enough understanding in our heart that we act on it.

Joshua 1:8 – This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

We have everything to do with hearing the voice of God. God is not in the habit of knocking people off of a horse to speak to them…(notice that I did not say that He never does this…because He did with Saul..who became the Apostle Paul) BUT most of the time we must put ourselves in a place for God to speak to us. We have to seek Him before our ears are inclined to hear His instruction.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you! For sure! Let His Word become a Word from Him to YOU!

Faith, you got it

Understandably, faith is one of the most misunderstood subjects of the Bible.

I believe that it is mostly misunderstood because it is a thing of the heart and not of the head. Heart things are a little harder to grasp with our minds…

Also, people tend to back away from things that are more abstract and deep. We all want it spelled out 1,2,3 and made easy…but honestly a force as powerful and dynamic as faith cannot be reduced to a formula. It takes time and study to comprehend the depth of the subject of faith.

God’s Word declares in 2 Corinthians that we have all been given THE (same) measure of faith. We’ve got it! It came from God and it always works.

It must be the same measure because God is not a respecter of people (meaning that He does not favor one person over another person). He gave it to us, we must believe that and then begin to discover all that there is to discover about it. Let’s go.

Faith is seen

Mark 2:5 When Jesus SAW their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

Faith can be seen. It is not something that you just quietly hold to yourself. Faith must be displayed.

Acting on what you believe is faith. Hebrews 11 is the “Hall of Faith” where it talks of the exploits that were done by ordinary people with an extraordinary faith in a faithful God! They did things! There was some extreme action involved.

Jesus saw faith when He walked the earth and He is looking for faith today. What does He see when He looks at you?

Let’s show our faith in Him by stepping out of the boat of comfort and walk on the water! All things are possible to him (or her) that believes!

Our believing must result in our doing.

Be blessed!
