Use His eyes

2 Corin. 5:7 says to walk by FAITH and not by sight. The only way that we can do this is by seeing things through the eyes of God. He will give us the ability to see like He sees if we dare to ask Him. (and be quiet and still long enough)

The world is filled (to overflowing) with fear, doubt, and unbelief. If we constantly listen to the world and look at the world (including the news media) we will see and hear the way that they do and then say and act the way that they do. (and without a doubt get the up and down results that they get….unstable in all their ways)

We need to look at things the way that God sees them. Filled with faith! Filled with hope, love and JOY! Quit seeing with your natural eyes and begin to look through His eyes. The future is BRIGHT when we walk by faith and not by sight!

The Lord Said

The thing that matters the most is what the Lord said. The next thing that matters the most is that we KNOW what the Lord said. God is speaking today as much has He ever has…there is just not a whole lot of people that are listening to Him.

Act 7:31 When Moses saw it, he marveled at the sight; and as he drew near to observe, the voice of the Lord came to him,

We must “incline our ear to His sayings” in order to hear His voice. Do we know what the Lord has said in His Word? Thank God that we have His written word that we can go to anytime…and we must go to ALL the time. I love Joshua 1:8 that says “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

When we know His written Word it is much easier to hear His voice speaking directly to us, day by day, and minute by minute. Go to His Word and expect to hear His voice today.

What is the Lord saying to you?

Wait – don’t faint!

You don’t have to faint. You can be strong in the Lord and the power of His might! You have a choice.

But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

I have heard many people say, “I am just so tired all the time”. Stress, worry, anxiety produces weariness and exhaustion. This is a plan of the enemy…can you see that? Don’t wear it as a badge of honor! Or as to get sympathy from people so that they will feel sorry for you and commend you for your hard work and extra effort. Jesus said, “I give rest to the weary”. – Matt. 11:28

We must wait on the Lord to receive His strength. In His presence is the only place to receive His strength and a refilling of His power. Don’t neglect your DAILY personal, private time with Him. You may say, “I just can’t afford the extra time…” You CAN’T afford NOT to invest the extra time. (Double negative intented) Stop what you are doing right now, grab your Bible and just worship Him for a while…wait in His presence until you receive His strength! Then you will have all the power you need to do all that He has called you to do today.

A talker or a listener? which are you?

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. – James 1:19 NLT

If there was a word gauge on you would there be more “outgoing” or more “incoming”? Some folks love to be heard, and love to hear themselves. They are so ready to tell you all about themselves whether you want to know or not. They tell you stories that they have told you 10 times already and do not remember that they told you 9 times yesterday. Most of the time it is all about them. Self-absorbed, self-focused.

Then there are those who love to learn. They are like a sponge, soaking up everything around them seeking to understand and always asking questions when they do finally decide to speak. Hearing is a lost art of communication. It takes much more self control to hear than to blab. Those that are mastering the art of hearing know the things that they know and want to learn what others know. After all when you open your mouth to speak you close off your ears from hearing.

It seems from this verse in James that the more that you listen the less angry you are likely to become….and the less likely you are to say something that you could regret.

voices

There are many voices speaking many things these days. What voice are you listening to? WHOSE voice are you obeying?

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. – John 10:27 NKJV

Jesus, the Good Shepherd is speaking today. He is speaking to you and wants to tell you and show you things that will allow you to walk in the abundant life that He has made available.

Can you hear Him? Do you have ears to hear? Are you tuned in to W.O.R.D.?

There is only one voice that we should follow, one voice that speaks the truth all the time. The voice of Jesus is the only voice that we should be listening to. Tune off the world and every strange voice, tune in to His voice…listen carefully, intently…

He is speaking, let’s listen….
