Grow-ing

Growing is a verb – it never stops.  “But speaking the truth in love, may GROW UP into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:”- Eph 4:15

To grow up into Him (Jesus) requires that we never stop feeding on the Word and applying it to every situation of our lives. Feeding on the right thing produces the power to grow in all the right areas. If you sit down and watch TV and eat a whole bag of potato chips then wonder why you are getting fatter and having bad health you are not as smart as you need to be! You become what you eat and are only able to grow in the area that you are feeding. Tons of fat, salt and sugar produce bad results in our physical bodies.

Tons of doubt, fear, lies and negativity produce weak Christians. Don’t feed on things that you know are going to do harm to your spiritual health! Be smart, feed on the Word of God constantly. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” – Joshua 1:8 NKJV

Day and night means day and night. Some folks may think that we are “overboard” with the Word of God…but the truth is that you can never be overboard. You can never get enough. It is something that we should be addicted to. Feeding on the Word of God will cause growth and growth will produce fruit! Let’s keep growing.

The Lord Said

The thing that matters the most is what the Lord said. The next thing that matters the most is that we KNOW what the Lord said. God is speaking today as much has He ever has…there is just not a whole lot of people that are listening to Him.

Act 7:31 When Moses saw it, he marveled at the sight; and as he drew near to observe, the voice of the Lord came to him,

We must “incline our ear to His sayings” in order to hear His voice. Do we know what the Lord has said in His Word? Thank God that we have His written word that we can go to anytime…and we must go to ALL the time. I love Joshua 1:8 that says “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

When we know His written Word it is much easier to hear His voice speaking directly to us, day by day, and minute by minute. Go to His Word and expect to hear His voice today.

What is the Lord saying to you?

You are…

Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

We must find out who we are IN CHRIST.

Search the scripture and mark each verse that talks about who you are and what you have in Christ. Begin to meditate on those scriptures until your image of yourself changes into God’s image of you.

If you are born again you are in Christ and not limited to living a “normal” life. We were created to live as Jesus lived and do the things that He did. But we have to know what we have as a result of what the Word of God gives us.

The supernatural ability of God begins to work in our life when we dare to believe that through Christ we can do all things and have all things that pertain to life and godliness.

Find out today, don’t delay…you are in Christ!

More

There is more.

More than you have experienced up to this point. In fact, most of us have only scratched the surface of what God has prepared for us.

Eph 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…

Dream your biggest dream and then double it!

He is able to exceed our most outlandish desires.

We have to stretch our faith and trust in Him. He wants to show us what a great Father He is.

Don’t settle for yesterday’s provision, stir yourself to expect the very best from the Lord.

He is able, willing and ready.

There’s more.

Want Peace and Safety?

There is a sure path to peace and safety!

Proverbs 1:33 “But all who listen to me will live in peace and safety, unafraid of harm.”

Listening to the Lord and His word will lead us to peace and safety.

On the other hand listening to the CNN (Constantly Negative News) will produce stress, strife and fear.

God designed us to desire and enjoy peace! When Jesus (the Prince of Peace) was born the angels said “peace on earth, good will toward all men”. ONLY Jesus can bring the peace you need and want.

And when He controls your life you will be unafraid of harm because He will keep you in perfect peace, when your mind is stayed on Him.

Peace to you, today!
