His Sons and Daughters

Posted by Pastor Bruce on July 28, 2010

Sons and daughters of God have privileges. One of those is that we are privileged to be able to be led by His Spirit.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Our Father wants us to be Spirit led not “head led”. Not education led, credential led, “networking” led, or any other way BUT, SPIRIT LED!

He has provided His Spirit to bear witness with our spirit that we belong to Him and how to follow His plan for our life.

If the Word of God declares that we as natural parents should bring our children up in the way that they should go (God’s way). Then it is His will that He desires to bring us up in the way that He wants us to go. Our ideas are just that…our ideas. We must take them to our Father in prayer and ask Him to shine His light on each thought that we have and show us His will (in all things!)

We have a right to expect to be led by His Spirit because He has gone to great lengths to give us His sure Guide (The Holy Spirit). It is time for us to declare by faith that “we are His children and we are led by His Spirit!”, on a daily (and hourly) basis! Be led today!

You Can Do It

Posted by Pastor Bruce on March 4, 2010

Face it, God would not ask you to do something that you could not do.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Phillippians 4:13

Following God requires that you walk in His strength. His strength in us is His ability flowing through us by His Spirit.

There is nothing that you can not do that God is leading you to do.

For example, from His Word we can see that it is His will for us to love our spouse and our family. This can not be done through our own strength, it requires the power of God working in us. He does not expect us to fulfill His supernatural will with our natural means. Through God we can do all things.

You may feel like you can not do what you know that you should and what you know that God is asking you to do, but remember:

  1. God is just and can not ask you to do something that you can not do
  2. He wants you to rely on Him and His strength to do all that you must do

Don’t say that you can’t because through Him and with His strength, you can! Rise up in the power of His might and show all those around you that you can do it! Declare I CAN DO ALL THINGS through HIM!

Neither Be Afraid

Posted by Pastor Bruce on February 26, 2010

What do you do when fear “comes-a-knocking”?

Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.’ ” – Isaiah 44:8 NKJV

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. – John 14:27 NKJV

Do you accept fear as just something that is natural and something that helps us recognize danger? (This is what is being taught to the Body of Christ in these days…and it is absolutely from the enemy!) Fear is not now (and has never been) from God to help us in any way. It is a spirit that attempts to steal, kill and destroy! 2 Timothy says that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind!

You have the choice to reject fear! The Spirit of God in us is more powerful than any fear that is coming against us and as we resist the devil he MUST flee.

We have authority according to Matthew 18 and we can bind thoughts of fear and command them to leave in Jesus Name. We choose to take the Word of God (which is our sword of the Spirit) and run off every thought of fear that the enemy throws our way. We choose to dwell on the Word of God and think on the things that are in line with the Word and the peace of God begins to guard our heart and mind in Christ Jesus. It develops a shield over us that fear cannot penetrate. Say out loud with your mouth, “No fear here!”

Locating the Heart by the Mouth

Posted by Pastor Bruce on January 20, 2010

When you speak you give yourself away.

…How can you speak good things when you are evil (wicked)? For out of the fullness (the overflow, the superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man from his inner good treasure flings forth good things, and the evil man out of his inner evil storehouse flings forth evil things. But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak. – Matthew 12:34-36 AMP

These were Jesus words to the religious leaders of the day. This was in response to their accusation that He was casting out demons because He had a demon. Their words gave voice to what was in their heart.

All you must do in order to locate people is let them talk for about 5 minutes. If their words are filled with hate, fear, doubt, criticism and pride then it is evident what is in their heart.

(But to hear what someone has to say you must let them talk. This “exercise” also helps us develop the all important skill of listening.) The more that you begin to listen to people the more aware you are of the words that you are speaking, then naturally you begin to judge your heart and words to make sure that they line up to God’s Word.

Your heart and mouth are connected. It is useless to use the excuse, “Yeah, I said that but I really didn’t mean it…” Change what is in our heart and the words that are coming out of our mouths will change.

My Soul Magnifies the Lord

Posted by Pastor Bruce on December 23, 2009

Mary said it and it is worth us saying it too – “my soul magnifies the Lord!”

And Mary said, My soul magnifies and extols the Lord, And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, – Luke 1:46-47 AMP

To magnify the Lord is to “declare great” or “enlarge”. When we magnify the Lord we are enlarging Him in our lives. (He already is the largest being in the universe!) But when we begin to look at His size and lift Him up in our life by declaring Him great and making a big deal about Him, then He is magnified!

“God is greater” is an absolute statement. If you ask “God is greater than what?”, the response is always, “God is greater than all!” The creator is always greater than the creation. He reigns over all. Declaring His greatness in your life causes all things to be put in proper perspective. Everything bows it’s knee to the Name above all names – Jesus! And when we magnify Him and lift up the Name of Jesus, everything in our lives begins to bow it’s knee.

Magnifying the Lord is a powerful act of faith! It is worshipping the Lord to the highest degree and declaring Him Lord over all. We have the awesome privilege of declaring the greatness of God! Let’s do it today!

More Than Necessary Food

Posted by Pastor Bruce on December 17, 2009

What are you eating today?

I have not gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed and treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. – Job 23:12 AMP

The value of the Word of God is beyond comparison. Job tried to compare it when he said that he treasured the Word of God more than his necessary food. Most doctors and nutritionist state that the average person can live about 4 to 6 weeks without food. And most people eat at least three times a day!

Why would we starve ourselves from the Word of God? Why would we allow ourselves to go one day without taking in the “Word of Life”?

We haven’t seen the value of the Word of God as we should. One way to begin to recognize the value is to begin to confess things such as, “God’s Word is life to me and I esteem His Word more than anything else!” and “The Word of God is increasing in my life and my desire is after His Word. I have a supernatural hunger for God’s Word and His righteousness and I am filled!”

We can make God’s Word the most important thing in our lives if we decide to. Once we decide to we must continually declare it by speaking it, “God’s Word is the most important thing in this world to me!” Then there will come a point that we will say like Job that I treasure His Word more than my necessary food!

Eliminate Can’t

Posted by Pastor Bruce on November 30, 2009

Can’t never could.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  – Philippians 4:13 NKJV

We were created to be DO-ers and not quitters. The key is allowing God to empower you. Waiting on Him until you are empowered with His strength. Getting so full of His Words that the word “can’t” will not exit our mouth! Every time a thought from the enemy comes that says, “you can’t” we answer with “according to the Word of God in Philippians 4:13 – I CAN do all things through CHRIST and His strength in me…Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor 15:57)”

He has made us to win! But we must win over our mouth before we will experience the victory that He has provided us. The book of James teaches us that when we control our tongue that we will control the course of our lives.

Never again should you allow yourself to say “I CAN’T”. Instead replace it with God’s Word for you today – “I CAN – through the strength that Jesus gives me!”

Your Faith Makes You Whole

Posted by Pastor Bruce on September 4, 2009

Your healing is not all up to God. You have a part. ”But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.” – Matthew 9:22 KJV

One of the biggest roadblocks that I have seen in the area of people receiving their healing from God is the belief that “if God wants me healed then He will do it”. Your healing was provided when Jesus paid the price for it 2000 years ago. It is up to us now to believe it and receive it by faith. You and your faith plays a major part! Without faith it is impossible to please God. This a bold statement but we must remember that God operates by faith! All that He has done He has done in faith and He expects us to live by faith. Trusting in His faithfulness and agreeing with His word is faith!

Reach out like the woman with the issue of blood in Matt 9 and connect with the healing power of God, by faith. Your faith is enough to get the job done. It takes just a mustard seed sized measure of faith to move a mountain (that is the power in just a small amount!) Be whole, by faith. Say “I believe, I receive NOW!”

The Same Spirit

Posted by Pastor Bruce on September 2, 2009

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” – Romans 8:11 NKJV – If the Spirit of God lives in you (and He does if you are born again!) then He will give life to your body! This is His promise, and it is true. You believe this for yourself today; receive His life giving power in your body right now!

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us after He was raised by the power of the mighty Holy Spirit. Raising Jesus from the dead was the most powerful act that God has performed, even more powerful than creation! Because with this act of bringing the Son of God back to life, God the Father conquered death, Hell and the grave! The same power that was exerted then is still working today. It is in you by the Holy Spirit and is released when you choose by faith to boldly declare, “The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me and gives life to my body, NOW!” Go ahead, do it, it belongs to you!

By His Stripes

Posted by Pastor Bruce on September 1, 2009

A substitution took place 2000 years ago! His healing for your sickness. “…who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness–by whose stripes you WERE healed.”- 1 Peter 2:24 NKJV

Jesus carried our sins to the cross but that was not all that He was carrying. He had every one of our sicknesses and diseases placed on Him as well. He settled the sin AND sickness questions. His act of obedience in going to the cross and laying down His life delivered us from sin and sickness. Forever settled in heaven and earth. He has provided healing. It is a done deal. Signed sealed and delivered to you. All you must do is receive it by faith. What was given by grace must be received by faith. Trust Him and His word, believe that He has provided and take it for yourself.

If we were healed when Jesus went to the cross then we are healed today in 2009! Good news! Remind your body and remind the devil what Jesus did for you 2000 years ago! The Bible says, “Let the weak say I AM STRONG!” We can also say, let the sick say, “I AM HEALED! By Jesus stripes!” Believe and receive today.
