Many times I have been asked to pray for someone or concerning a situation because the person asking me to pray thought (and even said) “you have a connection with the Man upstairs”.

After hearing that phrase and considering the context in which it is used, it makes me more determined to teach that each of us has access to God.

Jesus said in Luke 11:9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you…” (NAS)

He invites us to ask because He delights in meeting our needs.

Another powerful scripture is James 4:2 “You have not, because you ask not.”

We have a divine connection but it is not because of anything that we have done, it is all because of what He has done. He has extended His grace and power toward us in hope that we will reach toward Him and receive what we need.

Make the divine connection. Reach toward Him and let His provision connect with your faith!
