Sons and daughters of God have privileges. One of those is that we are privileged to be able to be led by His Spirit.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Our Father wants us to be Spirit led not “head led”. Not education led, credential led, “networking” led, or any other way BUT, SPIRIT LED!
He has provided His Spirit to bear witness with our spirit that we belong to Him and how to follow His plan for our life.
If the Word of God declares that we as natural parents should bring our children up in the way that they should go (God’s way). Then it is His will that He desires to bring us up in the way that He wants us to go. Our ideas are just that…our ideas. We must take them to our Father in prayer and ask Him to shine His light on each thought that we have and show us His will (in all things!)
We have a right to expect to be led by His Spirit because He has gone to great lengths to give us His sure Guide (The Holy Spirit). It is time for us to declare by faith that “we are His children and we are led by His Spirit!”, on a daily (and hourly) basis! Be led today!

Trying to “wrap your mind around” something spiritual? …You may hurt yourself.
1 Cor. 2:14 – But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
We need more spiritual discernment and less “opinions”. Allowing the Spirit of God to reveal the things of God to us requires time in His presence and His Word.
Our lives should not be based on what we “think” is right for us. We should know what God wants us to do and then DO IT. Knowing what God wants you to know is the key to being equipped with the right plan and it comes directly from His Spirit. Instead of going to the phone, go to His Throne! Like Jer. 33:3 says – call unto Him and He will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you are not yet aware of. He desires to reveal things to us but most of the time we are looking in the wrong places.
Being spiritually “keen” does not come overnight. It requires training. Spiritual training in the School of the Holy Spirit. Learn about Him and spend time with Him. He will show you all that God has given you and lead you every step of the way!

Remember something called “manners”? It used to be taught in homes and schools.
Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. (1Co 13:4-5 AMP)
Acting rude or unmannerly is a sure sign of no love and selfishness because love has manners and is not rude. To learn manners and practice them shows how much of the love of God you are allowing to flow through you. Can you imagine Jesus being rude? Do you think that He would continue to dominate a conversation and never let the other person speak? Would Jesus bump into you and never say, “excuse me…”? Would He borrow something and never return it or promise to call you and never follow through? Would He continue to talk to you after you have let Him know that you have another appointment to get to and that you need to go?
Rude is acting in any way that is inconsiderate. To have manners and act mannerly means to consider others before you speak or act. Be sensitive to those around you by thinking of them first. Your manners can open a door that you can use to tell someone about Jesus. Powerful stuff! Commit to the Lord to be a person of impeccable manners.

Are you in a place where you need to know something?
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. – James 1:5-6 NKJV
As much as you know, you do not know it all and you need wisdom…daily. God is the God of all wisdom. He knows all and wants to reveal things to us! This is great news!
We do not have to walk around in the dark and stumble. We can know what to do at all times.
We must ask God for His wisdom in faith and expect to receive direct, divine revelation from our Heavenly Father!
If you are dealing with a challenge or circumstance that you have no idea how overcome and exit victoriously, ASK GOD FOR WISDOM! Expect to hear His voice, follow the guide (the mighty Holy Spirit!).
God desires that you walk in His wisdom and counsel. Not only does He desire for you to walk in His ways and His wisdom, He has opened the door and has invited you to ask.
Ask and receive. Spend time with Him and He will show you things to come. He will speak to you and settle every issue that you are dealing with. He already knows what you need to know!

How full are you?
And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, – Ephesians 5:18 NKJV
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. – Romans 8:14 NKJV
We are able to be led by the Spirit of God to the degree that we are filled by the Spirit of God. If you are wandering around not knowing where to go or how to get there, get full of the Spirit of God! BE FILLED!
We are instructed to walk in the spirit and not after the flesh. I have found in my own life that it is so much easier to walk in the spirit when I am filled with the Spirit of God. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is not a once in a lifetime occurrence. There is one initial infilling but many subsequent refillings. The number one way to be refilled is to enter into the presence of God and yield yourself the very same way that you first received the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Reach up to God and out in faith, begin to worship Him from the heart and in other tongues and out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water that will refresh and renew you!
As you are full of the Holy Spirit expect to become more sensitive to His voice and leading. He desires to show you which way to go and what steps to take! Stay filled with Him and direction comes much easier.

Plug into the power source.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, – Jude 1:20 NKJV
He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, … -1 Corinthians 14:4 NKJV
He has the power, we must tap in. The way that we tap in is to pray in the spirit. Praying in the spirit builds you up or energizes you from the inside. The Holy Spirit lives in us and empowers us as we yield to Him by praying in other tongues. (More on being filled with the Holy Spirit) Do you have to pray in an unknown tongue? No, but you get to, if you want more of His power! (The Lord will not make you do anything, but has made the baptism with the Holy Spirit available to all.)
The great thing is that we can choose at any time to hook up to the power source. He has made Himself available to us 24/7/365! He is ready, willing and able to strengthen us when we put ourselves in that “hook up” place by hooking up our spirit to His spirit. When we begin to give utterance and speak the words that He gives us, His power flows through us. The Apostle Paul said that when he prayed in the spirit that his understanding was unfruitful. (meaning that he did not understand with his mind what he was saying with his spirit, because it was not in a language that he understood.) There are times where it is to our advantage that we do not know what we are praying. But all the while we know that every time that we choose to pray in the spirit we are being charged up and connected to the power of God. Connect today…and power up!

Weak? (today we call it – “burned-out”…)
But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. – Acts 1:8 AMP
The very purpose that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us is to empower us to fulfill His will! If we are truly walking in His power we should not grow weak or “burnout”. Some Bible words that describe what we call “burnout” are “faint, weak, weary, tired”. But there is a solution!
He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. [II Cor. 12:9.] Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted; But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. [ Heb. 12:1-3.] – Isaiah 40:29-31 AMP
The key is waiting on the Lord and being endued with the power of His Spirit! He desires to fill you with Himself so that you can do what you were designed to do in His strength! It is all in the waiting and surrender! (those concepts are a little foreign to us in this day and hour!…)
Wait and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit of God right now!

Don’t wait until spring to clean.
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. – Matthew 21:12-13 KJV
Jesus completely fulfilled the will of God in all things. When He drove out the money changers He was not doing it out of anger. (and certainly not to make a spectacle of them.) The purpose was to show them and us that the temple was not created for anything but communing and fellow-shipping with our Heavenly Father. In yesterday’s blog entry we saw that the temple was to be a house of prayer. We can relate to and see the importance of this in two ways; our house (physical dwelling place where we live) and His house (our body…if we are born again and in the family of God).
Our bodies were not made to harbor bitterness, covetousness, greed, anger and unforgiveness. Our “temples” (our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit) were made for a relationship with God. Our first responsibility is to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. First things first. As we pray each day and spend time with our Heavenly Father everything that is foreign and not of God begins to leave our “temple”. Romans 12 says that we are responsible to present our bodies a living sacrifice unto God. When we pray consistently we are presenting our bodies to the Lord. We are making time with Him our prime time and His peace and presence will fill our spirit, flow out into our soul and affect our bodies! How powerful!
Cleanse your temple by making your life a “house of prayer”. Fulfill the scripture, “Pray without ceasing” by being constantly in an attitude of prayer. Have an ongoing conversation with the Lord as you walk through your day. Don’t wait until spring.

Learning what we have is the quest!
Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world. – 1 John 4:4 AMP
It is a done deal! We are bigger on the inside than we are on the outside because of who lives in us. Jesus the Greater One is alive and lives in us by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God on the inside of us is greater than anything. We have the power to overcome every obstacle and defeat every foe!
We must begin to look at the size of God instead of dwelling on the size of the Goliath’s of life. Then realize that if we are born again (Romans 10:9-10) we have the very power of God living on the inside of us. We always triumph in Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 2:14) We walk in His strength and His might and not according to what it may seem on the outside. We look inside and see the power and might of the Holy Spirit working in us.
Give place to Him, yield to the Greater One and allow Him to move through you. Go up against the enemy knowing full well that you are greater because you are bigger on the inside!

Can you hear Him?
But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. – John 16:13 AMP
We have a distinct advantage since we have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us! When we became born again the Holy Spirit of God, the third person of the Trinity, came to live on the inside of us. We have a guide that has been given an assignment from the Father to speak to us and lead us. He is announcing and declaring things that will happen in the future. If we will only listen…
Listening to the Holy Spirit is THE issue. He is speaking, are we listening? Have you (and I) taken the time to listen to Him today? To find out what will happen before it happens…
We really should never be taken by surprise since we have the Holy Spirit leading us and showing us things to come. Tap in and tune up…to “God’s Guidance System” (more excellent than a GPS!). Listen to the Holy Spirit, today.
