You Can Do It

Posted by Pastor Bruce on March 4, 2010

Face it, God would not ask you to do something that you could not do.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Phillippians 4:13

Following God requires that you walk in His strength. His strength in us is His ability flowing through us by His Spirit.

There is nothing that you can not do that God is leading you to do.

For example, from His Word we can see that it is His will for us to love our spouse and our family. This can not be done through our own strength, it requires the power of God working in us. He does not expect us to fulfill His supernatural will with our natural means. Through God we can do all things.

You may feel like you can not do what you know that you should and what you know that God is asking you to do, but remember:

  1. God is just and can not ask you to do something that you can not do
  2. He wants you to rely on Him and His strength to do all that you must do

Don’t say that you can’t because through Him and with His strength, you can! Rise up in the power of His might and show all those around you that you can do it! Declare I CAN DO ALL THINGS through HIM!

You Were Made to Win

Posted by Pastor Bruce on October 27, 2009

The word “loser” should not be in your vocabulary. “Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.” – Romans 8:37 AMP

This verse in Romans comes right after a verse about suffering, affliction and tribulation. These are the “these things” that verse 37 is talking about! “In all these things” (suffering, affliction and tribulation) we are more than conquerors!

We are not conquered or defeated, we conquer and defeat!

We are called to develop the attitude of Jesus that nothing could stop Him from finishing the will of the Father for His life. (And He didn’t complain about anything that He went through…before, during or after He went through it) Jesus showed us how to live victorious in this life. He was victorious and we can be victorious through Him, everyday!

The reason that we like to win and we like winners is because God created us to win. Paul said (by the Holy Spirit) “I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength!” All means all. Everything that God has called us to do, we can do, and win while we are doing it.

Choose today to believe that you were made a winner. Look for and expect the victory! Don’t give in or give up, we win!

U R what U eat

Posted by Pastor Bruce on October 21, 2009

Your diet? “For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.” – Galatians 6:7 AMP

No doubt you become what you eat. Junk in, junk out. The junk food that people have been putting in their bodies has affected their physical health. And the lack of the sincere milk of the Word of God and the meat of the Word has affected our growth spiritually. You cannot grow properly on the wrong diet.

We give more attention to “the tube” than the Word and then face a crisis and wonder why we are filled with fear instead of faith. Duh! Proverbs 4:20 says “My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.” – Proverbs 4:20-22 AMP

What do we want? Life, peace and faith? or death, fear and dismay? We control our spiritual health by what we feed on…what we put in our spirit.

If you are dealing with fear, double up on the milk and meat of the Word of God! Take the Bread of Life! Eat freely!

Too Good

Posted by Pastor Bruce on July 14, 2009

But as it is written: “EYE HAS NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD, NOR HAVE ENTERED INTO THE HEART OF MAN THE THINGS WHICH GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.” – 1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV

“Too good” is a relative term. Too good compared to what?

Our Father God is good but way more than we have experienced up to this point in our life! He has much more that you have not experienced, YET!

This verse is not talking about things that He will bless us with, “When we all get to heaven…” BUT things that He wants to bless us with in the “here and now”! He is not just a God of the future or the past, He is a loving Father – TODAY! The Word declares that our Heavenly Father desires to give us good things TODAY!

Let’s go to His Word and find out what He has already blessed us with (Ephesians 1:3) and come to know that His goodness is: WAY GOOD & TOO GOOD! So much so that we must share it and let others see and know that our Father has more for them too! Get into His GOODNESS, go deeper.

They bring life

Posted by Pastor Bruce on January 25, 2009

Proverbs 4:20-22

My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body.

The words of life come from the Word of God.

Jesus’ disciple Peter even said, “You have the words of eternal life.”

Living life, real life, involves paying attention to the words of God, listening carefully and not losing sight of them.

Meditating the Word of God until it becomes a part of you and brings the life of God to you. The life that he brings has a direct effect on your life. Without it we will live way below the level that God desires for us.

With His life and His Word we have healing, hope and help – 24/7/365.

Get in it and let it get in you!

Expectation

Posted by Pastor Bruce on November 1, 2008

You get what you expect, nothing more and nothing less.

Always keep your hopes up, it’s a key to being a positive person.

Our hope is in God and with the faith that He gives us it will produce great things in your life.

Wake up every morning with the expectancy that something great is going to happen today.

We all remember what high expectation we had on Christmas morning to open that special gift that we had been waiting for.

God wants to bless us more than our natural parents wanted to buy specials gifts for us.

Let’s expect to see God move in and through our lives today!
