Your Plans Or His Plan for 2012

Is it too early to begin planning for 2012?

Proverbs 16:1-3 (NLT)

We can make our own plans, but the LORD gives the right answer. People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives. Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.

2012 will come and it’s fast on it’s way! (It will not take the Lord by surprise and neither should it take us by surprise.)

God is the master planner and was the FIRST planner! Before He spoke “Light BE” He had a plan for the light and everything else that He set out to create. He created all things with a purpose and on purpose. He didn’t discover man one day and say, “Oh, there’s a man. What should I do with him?” He had a plan for that man named Adam. He has a plan for you. (And He has a plan for you in the year of 2012!) (see Jer. 29:11)

God the Father has gone through some great efforts to make a way to get His plan for us transmitted to us. We are anticipating that 2012 will be the greatest year of our lives because God’s plan is for us is to ALWAYS “be fruitful and multiply!” (even when the earth is experiencing difficult times) He created us to succeed and be victorious.

Saying What The World Says

Ever stop long enough to ask yourself, “Why do I say what I say?” The “world” has so many “sayings” that are totally opposite of what God wants us to say and to believe.

Here’s one: “I’ve got to go make a living.” What does that mean? Can you find such thinking and talking from the Word of God? Quite the contrary.

Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it… Psalms 127:1 NKJV

We are guilty of repeating what other people say just because we have not studied the Word enough to discover the will of God on a subject.

Looking at the subject of “WORK”…Here’s what Ephesians 4:28 says…”working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.”

Our working should not be something that we do in order to bring home just enough to pay the monthly bills. We have sold ourselves short and the Lord as well. Our every effort should be “as unto the Lord” in order that we can GIVE. This is how the Lord Himself works!  Can you imagine Jesus saying, “I owe, I owe, so off to work I go.” No way!

We are to let the Lord direct our steps to the degree that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are doing what He wants us to do with each minute of our lives. If this is the case, then the result will be NEVER be…”I’ve got to go make a living…*sigh*”. We can be filled with joy and expectation knowing that we are working in the right place, at the right time and for the right reason!

The purpose for living is GIVING!

Live to Give

What are you living for?

Who gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) – Titus 2:14 (AMP)

God gave because love gives…and God is love. (1 John 4:7-8) Because we are born of God we have that same purpose for living, to give. Giving is the essence of living. You will not be totally satisfied in life until you begin to give.

The life that you are now living was given to you by God and it is not too much for Him to ask us to give our lives for others. The ultimate gift and the ultimate act of giving was when Jesus went willing to the cross and gave His life on our behalf in order to redeem us. He gave EVERYTHING for you.

Now He is calling us to live our lives in order to give to Him by being a blessing to others. We have the ability to give because He lives in us. We are designed to give because we were designed to imitate our Father.

We have to settle the issue of our purpose for living in order to make the biggest impact that we can make with the rest of the minutes, hours and days that we have left on this earth.

Focus on the life of Jesus and what He gave to us, then allow that life of love to flow out of you and give.

Fruitful and Multiply

Our original purpose is still our original purpose.

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply;… – Genesis 1:28

The meaning of being fruitful and multiplying is not just limited to the idea of procreation or “having children”, God has called us and equipped us to bear spiritual fruit in our lives.

John 15:8 – By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

John 15:16 – You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

When we are bearing fruit we are most satisfied, we are doing what we are created to do. This command from the beginning is still ringing out today, do you hear it?

The only way that we can bear any fruit is to stay connected to the Vine! Jesus! The life of God is the very thing that flows through us in order to bear fruit. This life that Jesus came to provide is developed in our lives through our daily fellowship with Him. We must give ourselves to the Word and prayer in order to receive from Him, for the purpose of  bearing fruit.

Let’s get connected and stay connected to the Vine, so that we can bear fruit, be fruitful and multiply.

Blessed 2-B-1

“Lord, bless me!”

This is a good prayer because you can’t give what you don’t have…

Don’t stop your prayer with asking God to bless you, ask Him to make you a blessing for this is the ultimate purpose in being blessed.

He is looking for people who are looking for people to bless. This is our purpose for living.

When we take our eyes off of ourselves and put them on Him and others, we begin to receive His blessings. (and not until then…)

It is a proven fact that people who have faced depression have come out of that deep dark place with just a single act of love toward someone else.

Seek to give and be a blessing today.
